I can’t connect to my Goodnature Mouse Trap!
If you are having trouble activating your Goodnature Mouse Trap (GMT) for the first time here are some steps that you can run through to get it working!
- First, ensure that you are attempting to connect via the Goodnature App. You will need to follow the ‘New Trap’ set up instructions in the app to connect to your GMT. You may see the trap in the Bluetooth settings of your phone but you will be unable to connect to the trap from here.
- Next, ensure your Bluetooth is on. If it isn’t, you should see a banner at the bottom in the app letting you know
- Ensure your trap is turned on, you can do this by pressing the orange button on the GMT for ~3 seconds. You should see the light turn green when it is on. If your trap is already on it should light up green straight away when you give the button a quick press
- When you are on the scanning screen in the app, ensure your GMT is in pairing mode. You can put your trap in pairing mode by holding the button when the trap is on until the light turns blue and begins flashing
If you have followed these steps and your GMT is not pairing correctly then it may have been paired with another device previously or it may have an issue. Factory resetting the trap will remove any previous pairing it has and resolve most other issues. To factory reset the trap, press and hold the button on the GMT until you see ‘rainbow lights’, this should take ~9 seconds. After seeing the rainbow lights you should see a white light that fades, indicating the trap is now off. After this you can follow the normal set up instructions again to see if you are now able to pair it.
If your GMT is still unable to pair correctly please get in touch with us at hello@goodnature.co.nz and we would be happy to help!
