What do the lights on The Goodnature Mouse Trap mean?
The Goodnature Mouse Trap has one light on top that can show a number of different colours to indicate various states. Below is a guide to help you understand what each colour of light means!
White (Solid or Flashing) — Safe Mode. The trap is inactive and won’t fire to minimise the risk of injury. This state will most often be encountered when the trap is open (such as when removing a body) or when the trap is plugged in for charging.
Green (Solid) — Active Mode. The trap is working correctly and ready to fire. This is the state your trap will be in when it is set up and waiting for a mouse.
Blue (Flashing) — Bluetooth Pairing Mode. The trap is looking for a phone to connect to. You will most often see this when you set up the trap for the first time and connect it to your app.
Orange (Flashing)— Body Mode. The trap has made a kill and is indicating that there is likely a body inside that needs to be removed (the trap will also send a notification to your phone that it has fired). Be aware that the trap is also still active and capable of firing.
Red (Flashing) — Low Battery Mode. The trap has low battery and will need to be charged soon. Be aware that the trap is also still active and capable of firing.
Red (Solid) — Trap Error Mode. The trap has some sort of error. Please contact Customer Service at hello@goodnature.co.nz.
No light — Trap is off or in Active Mode. The GMT won’t always have a light on during Active Mode so while the trap may not look like it is live, it could be and will still fire as normal. You can double check whether your trap is off or in Active Mode by briefly pressing the orange button on the top. If the trap doesn’t light up, it is off. If it lights up green, it is in Active Mode. If you see a different colour, refer to the bullet points above as to what could be occurring.
